My family got me a Kindle Fire for Christmas. I am a big fan. The kids (especially little sis, 2 years old) really enjoy using it. I thought I’d share a few of my favorite (FREE) apps for kindle.
Angry Birds- Free
- Where’s My Water- Free
Veggie Tales Spotisode
Many of the free apps are free because you have to deal with ads popping up. I’ve found that if I just turn off the wifi on my kindle when I give it to the kids, then I don’t have to worry about them clicking through any of the ads.
What are your favorite FREE apps?
As always, there are so many free books out there for Kindle… here are my top picks for today!
At the time of this posting, these titles were free. Be sure to double check before you click buy!
Also… remember… you don’t have to have a kindle to read kindle books… check out the FREE Kindle Reading Apps for your PC, MAC or Smart Phone!
Almost as a joke, I asked for a Kindle Fire for Christmas. I really didn’t think I’d get one, but my family pooled together and gave me Amazon money and tada… the Kindle Fire was realized.
I have had the Kindle app on my Blackberry for some time and have been collecting free books along the way… but now I have become somewhat obsessed with getting free books and apps for the Kindle.
There are so many to choose from and Amazon is always changing the prices, but here are a few that are, for the moment, free for your Kindle:
Ruby- Christian Fiction
Good for Moms of Girls
Cute Children's Book
Great for Toddlers and Preschool
Also… if you have a Kindle Fire… or an Android phone, Amazon offers a Free App each day… today’s free app is:
MobiLearn Talking Phrasebook, English-French-German-Italian-Spanish
What free apps/ books have you found for the Kindle Fire?
Oh… and don’t forget… you don’t have to have a Kindle device to take advantage of all the free books. Check out Amazon and find out how you can download a free Kindle App for your PC or Smartphone!

Okay… so you’ve seen IPads ad Kindles and Nooks where you can take your digital books on the road with you… right?
But… did you know that Amazon has a free Kindle App for most smart phones or your PC? Just head on over to Amazon and check it out.
AND… you can periodically find great books for your Kindle for FREE on Amazon. Nothing says Money Saving to me like FREE!!!!
Here are a couple of books I’ve recently downloaded for FREE!!!
Pride and Prejudice... and a number of other Jane Austen books
We could have even bought the husband’s textbooks through Kindle for a cheaper price (if he hadn’t just checked them out of the library instead). I am digging the Kindle app.. makes me feel like I am keeping up with the times without paying the inflation!
Have you discovered Swagbucks?!?! It is basically a search engine.. like Google… but you have the opportunity to earn points as you search. You can redeem the points you earn in the Swag Store for lots of fun things. I particularly like the gift card section. I have redeemed points for $5 added straight to my Paypal account and most recently for Amazon gift cards. We were able to stock up on Amazon cards last year and buy some of my husband’s seminary books. I’ve also been able to get the kids a backyard play pool and myself a new sewing book with our Amazon money. Plenty of other options exist for spending your swagbucks as well.. like Starbucks, Barnes and Noble and so much more!
You can earn points by searching the web, referring others (click on the image above and join… I’ll get referral points 🙂 ), participating in surveys, daily polls and several other ways. You’re going to search the web anyway… might as well earn points while you’re at it!!
I’m sure that you’ve heard of Swagbucks… if not, you should check it out. It is basically a search engine that rewards you at random for your web searches. I mean, how many times a day do you search for something using Google or Yahoo or Bing? Just switch on over to Swagbucks and start earning points just for searching. Seriously… it’s that easy… and free.
You can redeem your points for various items or gift cards. My favorite thing is that for every 450 points I earn, I can trade them in for a $5 Amazon gift card. You can find so much stuff on Amazon! I just keep collecting those cards until I need (or really, really want) something. In the fall, we were able to use some of the swagbucks to by the husband’s books for class… cool huh?
Here are some of the more recent Amazon goodies I’ve gotten with my Swagbucks…
Because I need all the help I can get.
To feed my new found sewing addiction
Because it is so blasted hot in Florida and there is no shade in our backyard and I need a pool to get my kids to play outside.
So… head on over to Swagbucks
and start earning those points.
PS… I am only promoting this because it has worked for me and I know it will for you.
