My husband and I celebrated our tenth anniversary this past December. We like to give each other the traditional anniversary gifts. It makes us be creative… it’s fun and dorky and we like it!
My husband came up with a great idea. He is really one of the most thoughtful people I know. One of the suggestions for tenth anniversary is tin. My husband got a popcorn tin, emptied the popcorn out and sprayed the outside with chalkboard spray paint. He told me he intended to write me a love note every day and asked if I would do the same for him.
We keep the tin on his dresser with a pad of paper and a pen next to it. The notes can be serious or silly…. romantic or goofy. I try to be specific and not just write “I love you.”
A love note a day…
This has challenged me to get out of myself and remember why I love this man so much. Relationships can be downright hard, but at the end of the day I know that I love him and he loves me. With this love note tin, we both have a tangible reminder of that fact.
How cute are these Ninjas?!?! Little Sis was watching as I was putting together these printables and she squealed “NINJAS FOR MY SCHOOL!”
Yes Little Girl, Ninjas!
Side note… in the Sate of North Carolina, we have to name our homeschool. The majority of the members of our family voted for “Learning Ninja Academy”… I vetoed them all and chose “Harvest Academy” instead. Although “Learning Ninja Academy” would look pretty cool on a diploma!

Whew… I have had printable packs on the brain!!! I do enjoy scouting out clip art and putting together activities that I think are fun and engaging. I love it when I put a page in with my kids’ school work and they light up and say, “thank you mom!”
Most of my printables at this point revolve around preschool and early elementary because that is the age I have in my home right now. I would love feedback from my readers. What would you like to see offered?
I was SO EXCITED to find these amazing Valentine Ninjas from Dorky Prints (I forgot to credit them on the pack… So I’m doing it now). I didn’t want the printables to be overly girly.
Included in this pack for early elementary (kinder – 3rd):
Copy Work (in cursive)
Making words from the word “Valentine”
